Echoes of Jerry—upcoming readings and events

I’ll be reading from and signing copies of Echoes of Jerry at several events in the Boston area this fall. On Friday October 18, at 730 pm I’ll be reading at Arlington Street Church, 351 Boylston Street in Boston. The event is free and light refreshments will be served. On Sunday November 24 at 2 pm, I’ll be reading with the poet/essayist Ben Berman at Beacon Hill Friends House, 6 Chestnut Street in Boston. More details to follow!

Echoes of Jerry–coming in September!

My new memoir, “Echoes of Jerry: One Man’s Search for His Deaf Uncle and His Own Voice” is coming in September. Book launches in Cleveland, sponsored by the Skirball Writers Center at South Euclid Public Library on Thursday September 19 at 7PM, and in Boston on Friday September 27 at 7PM at Porter Square Books in Cambridge.

It’s Now or Never–on the Road in Regina and Winnipeg

I will be taking the show to the Regina and Winnipeg Fringe Festivals in July. The Regina Festival is July 11-15, 2018 and Winnipeg is July 19-29. In Regina, I’ll be at the Unitarian Centre, and in Winnipeg I’ll be at the Playhouse Studio.

A Preview of It’s Now or Never in Newton on June 21

I’m thrilled to be debuting my new show, “It’s Now or Never: My Life in the Late Middle Ages” at Turtle Studios, 213 California Street in Newton, on Thursday June 21 at 7:30 pm.

This is the world premiere of the show–a chance to play before a (friendly) Boston audience before I take it on the road to fringe festivals in Regina, SK and Winnipeg, MB.

One Man’s Journey at HI Boston

I’ll be performing the latest version of my show, “One Man’s Journey through the Middle Ages,” on Saturday June 3, 2017–7:30 pm at Hostel International Boston, 19 Stuart Street in Boston’s theater district. (The venue is just a few blocks from the Chinatown and Tufts Medical Center stops on the Orange Line). Tickets are $12 at the door, and I’ll be doing several new pieces in addition to some old standards.

Writing from Real Life Saturday March 4 in Tampa

I’ll be teaching a fun one-day writing workshop in South Tampa, this coming Saturday March 4 from 10-5. The workshop is designed for writers at all levels, and deals with how to take challenging/rich personal material and use it for nonfiction/memoir writing.

The cost of the workshop is only $50.
